Here at the Ketamine Clinic of NWA we realize a majority of our patients will have a primary physician, counselor, or therapist they are seeing regularly. We highly encourage those relationships to continue and are providing an adjunctive treatment to your care plan. We will maintain your privacy and communicate your treatment and results only with your permission.
Ketamine Therapy Includes:
Total of 6 treatment infusions, tailored to each patients specific needs.
Preferably 3 treatment infusion per week for 2 consecutive weeks.
Our staff will assess each patient after 4th treatment to see if they are responder to the Ketamine infusions. If a non-responder, no additional infusions will be administered.
Maintenance infusions are patient dependent. A care of plan will be developed for each patient.
What is Ketamine? WHy Ketamiine?
Ketamine is a NMDA receptor antagonist that is typically used in anesthesia but has been recently proven to be a safe and reliable treatment for people suffering from PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, post partum depression, chronic regional pain syndrome, and suicidal ideation.
Ketamine infusions have found to be effective in patients who did not respond to ECT therapy and/or have severe side effects, unresponsiveness, or resistance to traditional treatment.
